Burgess Equipment Company is a manufacturer of Custom Built Material Handling Equipment. There are many applications in industry where a purchasing agent or engineer cannot go to a catalog and pick out a particular piece of equipment he needs for his process, therefore custom equipment must be designing and building specialized equipment to reliably and efficiently over come these problems.

Our expertise is in the handling flat sheet products by vacuum. We also build all types of related conveyors, lifts or any other custom equipment that may be required to complete a system.

Because each machine we produce for a specific application is basically a one-of-a-kind design, we do not have a standard catalog showing all our equipment, however you will find many examples of our machines on this site.

If your budget does not permit a fully automated machine or if you have a very low production that will not justify an automated machine, we also product Below-the-Hook Vacuum Lifting Units that hang from an overhead lifting source (such as a bridge crane). These are highly versatile units that can be modified to handle almost any flat sheet product.
